The parade is to start at noon near 5th and Figueroa, proceed south on Figueroa and end between L.A. Live and Staples Center, the team confirmed after securing its first Stanley Cup on Monday with a 6-1 victory over the New Jersey Devils.
An hour-long "championship rally" is scheduled to begin at Staples Center at 2:30 p.m., featuring video highlights, presentations and speeches from several players, the team said.
This will be an amazing parade for Los Angeles sports fans because the Stanley Cup parade is often times the most exciting sports championship parade of the year.
Boston has been fortunate to have seven championship parades since 2002, and the parade that had the most people in attendance was the Bruins' Stanley Cup celebration last June.
Kings fans will travel from all over North America to see their team display the Stanley Cup on Thursday in the streets of Los Angeles.
This is a celebration they have waited 45 years to see, and many of them won't let anything prevent them from seeing it in person.
Thursday's parade will certainly be a fitting way to celebrate the Kings' spectacular Stanley Cup title.
