According to Lakers.com's Mike Trudell, Henry will travel to New York to receive a second opinion on his knee surgery and then head to Germany to receive treatment:
Henry, who averaged 10.0 points and 2.7 rebounds per game in 2013-14, also had wrist surgery this offseason but has recovered from the upper-body ailment, per Mark Medina of the Los Angeles Daily News:
If Henry is unable to start the regular season, the Lakers could be dangerously thin at the shooting guard and small forward positions.
Shooting guard Nick Young, who averaged 17.4 points per game last season, is recovering from a thumb injury, and there is no telling how well the body of 36-year-old superstar Kobe Bryant will hold up after playing just six games last season and coming off knee and Achilles tendon injuries in the past two seasons.
