Twenty-seven victories this past season was the organization's lowest win total since it was back in Minneapolis, but there is good news for the purple and gold. The Lakers have virtually no one under contract for next season.
Only Steve Nash, Robert Sacre and a presumably healthier Kobe Bryant are signed up for guaranteed money in 2014-15, and that allows for plenty of flexibility as this team tries to make itself a contender once again. We know Lakers fans won't accept any standards below greatness for an extended period of time. Now, the Lakers' first move will be to improve with a high pick in a deep draft.
Keep it locked here on NBA draft night (June 26, 7:30 p.m. ET) for timely updates and analysis.
