After his latest bizarre antics with the Oakland Raiders, he may not get another chance unless he completely turns his life around.
On Wednesday, McClain lost his mind, posting this message, per NFL Network's Ian Rappoport:
An hour ago, Rolando McClain posted this on his Facebook wall: "Officially no longer an Oakland Raider!!"

One day later, head coach Dennis Allen said this, per ESPN News Services: "There's going to be consequences to his actions and it's a team-related issue. I don't really want to get into the details of it. We asked him not to come to practice today."
John Clayton reports that McClain will be released by the Raiders, per the same report.
McClain's troubles started back in the beginning of December, 2011. He was involved in an altercation in which he allegedly fired a gun and assaulted a man. He was originally sentenced to 180 days in jail—charges which were later dropped after he won an appeal.
Since then, the talented linebacker out of Alabama has struggled on the field.
According to the ESPN News Services report:
After being essentially an every down player for the first two years of his career, McClain was demoted after the first month of this season. He was replaced by rookie Miles Burris in nickel packages because of his struggles in pass coverage and because the coaching staff believed he tired too easily playing every down. He has gone from playing more than 90 percent of defensive snaps to just over half the past seven games.
It was obvious to me watching him play this season that he wasn't as committed to football as he needed to be to stay competitive.
It's not like McClain doesn't have the talent to be an every-down linebacker. It was only two years ago...
