Taiwan Jones Injury: Updates on Raiders RB’s Knee and Return

Oakland Raiders backup running back Taiwan Jones suffered a sprained PCL in Week 11 against the Detroit Lions and missed the team's Week 12 clash with the Tennessee Titans. His status for Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs is unknown.

Latest on Jones' Practice Status Wednesday, Dec. 2 The Raiders announced Jones was a limited participant in today's session. 

Raiders Lacking RB Depth Until Jones is able to return, hybrid fullback Jamize Olawale and Roy Helu would advance behind Latavius Murray on the depth chart. 

Mike Clay of Pro Football Focus provided the most updated draft of the running back carousel in Oakland earlier this week, highlighting how much of a carousel it's been:



Jones has rushed for just 72 yards on 15 carried in eight games, but he's been a threat through the air, hauling in six catches for 101 yards and a touchdown. 

Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle indicated that with his limited contributions, he's caught the eye of coaches but not in a good way:



On Sunday, the 4-6 Raiders take on the 2-8 Tennessee Titans, who boast the league’s 30th-ranked pass defense. If Murray can weather the load and avoid injury, ever-improving quarterback Derek Carr should be in store for a big day.
