The absolute worst parts about NFL preseason games, or NFL games in general, are injuries. The Oakland Raiders and linebacker Sio Moore found that out the hard way in Friday’s preseason contest against the Green Bay Packers.

The official Raiders' Twitter reported the injury:

Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle provides an update on Moore's injury:

The Raiders and Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area have official word on Moore's diagnosis:

Packers fans gave Moore a standing ovation as he was carted off the field even though he was a member of the opposing team. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network had a glass-half-full approach when discussing the injury:

This injury is particularly difficult for the Raiders and Moore because he was expected to contribute on the defensive side this year. He played in 15 games in 2013 as a rookie and racked up 4.5 sacks and a forced fumble.

Moore is only 24 years old and has a bright future ahead of him if he recovers quickly from this latest setback. Check back for updates as they develop.
