What's At Stake?

Oakland is hoping to make its first playoff appearance since 2002 when the Raiders lost the Super Bowl to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They hold a one-game advantage over San Diego, Kansas City and Denver. They can't afford to slip up against a struggling Vikings squad.

As for Minnesota, Christian Ponder is four games old and it's been a roller-coaster start. The 12th overall pick has shown glimpses of starting-caliber talent, but has made some expected rookie mistakes. Other than developing young players, this game doesn't hold major significance for the Vikings.
