Raiders vs. Texans: Live Game Grades and Analysis for Oakland

The Oakland Raiders traveled to the Lone Star State and defeated the Houston Texans 28-23 in a Week 11 clash.

Game Analysis for the Oakland Raiders

Pass Offense: Matt McGloin went 18-for-32 for 197 yards and three touchdowns. McGloin was sacked twice, but he looked comfortable in the pocket and had time to go through his progressions. He did, however, stare down his receivers at times. Rod Streater led the Raiders with six catches for 84 yards and a score. Rookie tight end Mychal Rivera also looked good, hauling in five balls for 54 yards and a touchdown.

Rush Offense: Running back Rashad Jennings was a workhorse for the Raiders. He ran the ball 22 times for 150 yards, including an 80-yard touchdown. Jennings' production over the last two weeks will mean that Oakland has a big decision to make at the end of the season regarding the future of the oft-injured Darren McFadden, who will be a free agent.

Rush Defense: Despite last week's poor performance against the Giants' Andre Brown, Oakland came into Sunday's contest ranked No. 7 against the rush in the NFL.The Texans' Ben Tate managed to gain 88 yards on the ground, but Oakland bottled up the run game when it counted. Head Coach Dennis Allen and defensive coordinator Jason Tarver have worked wonders with the run defense, which has been a perpetual Achilles' heel for the Raiders of late.

Pass Defense: Quarterback Case Keenum started the game and went 13-for-24 with one touchdown and one interception. Keenum was replaced by Matt Schaub in the second half, who went 12-for-25 for 155 yards. Schaub failed to lead the Texans to victory, as Oakland won the game on a goal-line stand, after which star Texans wideout Andre Johnson (10 catches for 116 yards) had a spat with Schaub and walked off the field with time left on the clock.
