Raiders vs. Giants: Live Grades and Analysis for Oakland

The Oakland Raiders (3-5) were defeated 24-20 by the New York Giants (2-6) in a Week 10 matchup at MetLife Stadium.

Game Analysis for the Oakland Raiders

Pass Offense: Quarterback Terrelle Pryor finished the game 11-for-26 for 122 yards. He also threw a critical interception that set up a Giants touchdown. Pryor was sacked four times on the day. It appeared as though the knee injury hampered his performance.

Run Offense: Running back Rashad Jennings had a very solid day, carrying the ball 20 times for 88 yards. He ran downhill and was the lone bright spot for the Raiders offense. Pryor added five carries for 19 yards, including a one-yard touchdown run.

Run Defense: Oakland struggled to bottle up Giants running back Andre Brown, who finished with 30 rushes for 115 yards.

Pass Defense: Manning finished 12-for-22 with 140 yards and one touchdown. He also threw a pick-six and was sacked four times. As a whole, the Raiders pass defense did a good job on the day, holding Hakeem Nicks and Victor Cruz to 49 and 37 yards, respectively. Rueben Randle was the Giants' leading receiver with three catches for 50 yards and a score.

Special Teams: Punter Marquette King punted five times for a 50.8-yard average, which is very impressive given the windy conditions. Sebastian Janikowski also had a good day despite the conditions, converting two field goals with a long of 33 yards.

Coaching: The Raiders' play-calling became a bit stale. Oakland was continually stuffed on first-down running plays and Pryor was forced to pass the ball in medium- to long-yardage situations. In turn, the Raiders offense was 2-for-13 on third down. Oakland also committed eight penalties for 65 yards. The defense did bounce back, however, from last week's horrendous outing against the Eagles.
