The Raiders were awful today. Take away Jacoby Ford, and we got three points.
Terrible.
What, exactly, was Hue Jackson's gameplan?
There honestly was no pattern in the plays he was calling. It seemed like he got away from the run quickly after two or three bad rushes.
Seriously, his play-calling was almost as erratic as Bruce Gradkowski.
Don't put this loss on just the offense, though. Defensively, the players played bad. Plain and simple. They couldn't stop the run or the pass. McFadden looked like he was a third-stringer for the Sacramento Mountain Lions. I can seriously say with confidence that Stanford Routt played better than Nnamdi Asomugha.
Let's go back to Bruce Gradkowski. He was so inconsistent. This guy couldn't hit a target 10 yards away from him. Even that deep ball to Ford was under-thrown.
Why, Tom Cable, why? Why did you bench Jason Campbell so quickly again? Clearly Gradkowski was worse this week than Jason was last week. And that was against a team like the Steelers.
I liked John Marshall's calls. They were bold, but the defense was getting way too tired.
Anyways, I'd rather not talk about the game anymore, if that's okay with you readers.
The Raiders (5-6), have to travel to a red-hot San Diego team next week. Nice. Then a couple weeks later we have to play the Colts. I truly believe the Raiders need to win out if they want to win the division.
Just go 7-9, baby.
