Oakland Raiders: Zach Miller, Raiders Close to Agreement

Raider Nation! How have you all been? I'm sorry for the lack of updates. I have been extremely busy on Twitter lately. Follow me @EzraRuiz.

Now, as most of you guys know, the Raiders have been very quiet in free agency. They've opted to take the wait-and-see approach: Wait for the market to settle so they can get bargain prices on veterans.

Here is some good news: Steve Corkran of the Oakland Tribune is reporting that the Raiders and Zach Miller are close to reaching an agreement.

I reported on Twitter hours before that, stating that Oakland and Miller have agreed to a deal. I stand by that report.

Either way, it's looking like the Raiders have landed or will land Miller, meaning that they can focus on much more pressing needs.

The Raiders can now look toward improving the offensive line and passing game. Word out of camp is indicating Chaz Schilens and Louis Murphy are looking phenomenally sharp and are favorites to start.

In other news, Jacoby Ford has broken his left hand. Hue Jackson estimated he will be out two weeks.

Darrius Heyward-Bey still has that "toothache" and Bruce Campbell has an unspecified left knee injury.

More to come later.
