Oakland Raiders: Is Kevin Boss Going to Replace Zach Miller?

The Raiders have lost another player today in free agency, with TE Zach Miller signing with the Seattle Seahawks.  When the free agency period began, there wasn't much noise on Zach Miller.  It was believed that he was going to re-sign with the Raiders once they got under the salary cap.

The Raiders restructured Kamerion Wimbley's deal to save some money, then the next thing you know Zach Miller is in Seattle, having lunch with Tom Cable.

Initial reports were that this was just a leverage move to get more money out of the Raiders.  That obviously wasn't the case, and now the Raiders need a proven TE to fill the void.

That brings us to free agent TE Kevin Boss.  He would be a perfect replacement.  He is a deep threat tight end and at 6'7" 263 pounds is a very good run blocker.  Negotiations with the Giants are currently at a standstill, and they just signed free agent TE Ben Patrick.

Kevin Boss, who is from the West Coast, even said that he'd love to play for the Oakland Raiders.

Here's a quote from Vittorio Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle,"Boss said on Sirius Radio that he wants to come to the Raiders...."

It is time for Al Davis to start making some moves.  I know he's been busy getting other guys signed, but we have now lost three starters from last season.  It is time to add a starter.  Kevin Boss would be a good start.

We need a TE and he wants to be here.  Al Davis needs to make this happen now!

We're waiting.
