Oakland Raiders Do Not Need Any “Johnny Jolly” Players; We Need True Victors

It is always sad to hear about the people who are unable to avoid destroying their careers because of their habits and addictions.

Johnny Jolly, a player with one of the most powerful teams in the NFL in 2011, now has his career interrupted by a whirlwind of trouble, related to an illegal substance.

Let's hope that the Oakland Raiders do not have any of those types of problems lurking in the dark, secret places of their lives.

I always tell my students that if they know they have a problem, please seek help or counseling.

I know the guys of the Oakland Raiders are grown men, but sometimes it helps to be reminded of the ills of being a celebrity and the hidden challenges in the culture of professional football.

Is anybody listening out there? I hope so.

In 2011, the Oakland Raiders seem to be moving up. Let's hope that nothing interferes or hinders their progress.  We are pulling for each and every player and coach on the team.

This would be a great year to make a powerful statement in the NFL since so much has happened early in the season.

The loss of Al Davis, the broken collar bone of Jason Campbell and all of the other injuries have been a challenge.

Rising above these challenges and moving toward consistent victories is what is desired.

Go Raiders! Move on up a little higher!
