Oakland Raiders 2011: Putting an End to My Personal Lock-out

Ok, it's been awhile. Much has happened since I was last able to take the time to write about my beloved Oakland Raiders.

I've been immersed in my real job. Trying to get better and trying to climb the ladder of success. I survived a regime change and now feel good about my career that pays the bills.

That being said, it's time to end my own lockout as a Raiders featured columnist. I'm back!

Now onto some random ramblings on what's been going on while I was gone.

There will be an NFL season and the new deal will be heavily in favor of the owners. Billionaires always beat millionaires.

Nnamdi Asomugha will be an Oakland Raider in 2011 if Al Davis wants him.

Chimdi Chekwa will be the steal of the draft for the Raiders.

Hue Jackson will finish no worse than third in NFL coach of the year balloting.

Chaz Schilens will finally stay healthy and catch at least 70 balls.

Rolando McClain will be the most improved player on the roster.

Jared Veldheer will start every game at left tackle and allow five or fewer sacks for the year.

Taiwan Jones will provide more than a handful of WTF moments, both good and bad!

The rush defense will finish in the top half of the league.

Jason Campbell will silence any talk of the Raiders needing a QB and get a contract extension.

The Raiders will win the AFC West and maybe more than that!

I'm happy to be back writing on BR and look forward to the real lockout ending.

Even more than that, I'm happy that I'll be back reading all the other wonderful contributions from my fellow Raider fans.

We may not always agree on the direction of the team, or management, or anything else, but the one thing we have in common is a passion for the greatest team in the NFL!
