Week 4 marked the turning point of the 2012 NFL season for a handful of teams—a bad turning point.
While some teams showed that they have what it takes to compete down the stretch, others showed that they are going to be irrelevant before that grind comes.
This Sunday's set of games wasn't as close as last week's, which is a sign that parity across the league is dissipating.

New York Jets: 34-0 Loss to San Francisco 49ers
The New York Jets were one of the teams that showed it will be a disappointment this season in an especially brutal 34-0 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Not only did the offense look terribly anemic, mustering a paltry 145 yards of total offense, but the vaunted defense let up nearly 400 yards of total offense and look completely overmatched by the 49ers' running game.
Mark Sanchez turned in yet another stinker, which brought about chants of Tebow from the MetLife Stadium crowd. The ground-and-pound offense looked anything but dominant, and New York's No. 1 wideout Santonio Holmes left the game with a foot injury.
Tebow certainly isn't the answer under center. It appears that there isn't much of an answer for Rex Ryan to find, and it's only a matter of time until the Jets fade into obscurity.
Buffalo Bills: 52-38 Loss to New England Patriots
After putting together back-to-back wins against the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Browns, Ryan Fitzpatrick and the Buffalo Bills looked to have their season back on track.
