Latavius Murray, Amari Cooper, Derek Carr’s Post-Week 3 Fantasy Advice

The kids are all right in Oakland.

In a potential glimpse of the Raiders' future, quarterback Derek Carr, running back Latavius Murray and wideout Amari Cooper posted huge numbers against the Cleveland Browns.

Of the three, Carr probably has the least fantasy relevance. Despite posting excellent numbers the past two weeks, it's hard to imagine the 24-year-old cracking QB1 status given the deep nature of the position this year. If Oakland continues to throw the ball with regularity, then Carr may sneak into the high-end QB2 conversation, but for now he's a player who should only be rostered in deeper leagues.

Murray, on the other hand, has continued to prove he's a solid RB2 this season. The Raiders are giving him a solid amount of touches, and his explosive ability means he's always potentially one touch away from the end zone. While he's unlikely to become an elite option at running back this year, he should be started weekly in all formats as either an RB2 or as a flex.

Ditto for Cooper, who is solidly in the flex-consideration department every week. He's now posted consecutive 100-yard receiving games, making him the second rookie in the past 30 years to reach that mark in two of his team's first three games, via Jon Zimmer of the NFL.

Cooper is clearly Carr's top option when he drops back to pass. Rookie or not, Cooper can be trusted as an excellent flex option in all formats.
