Utah Jazz vs. Los Angeles Lakers: Live Score, Results and Game Highlights

If you knew that the Los Angeles Lakers would shoot 54 percent from three, hit 15 of 18 free throws and score 110 points at home, you would think they would have won in a runaway, no?

Instead they surrendered 117 points to the three road win Utah Jazz and now find themselves in a even deeper hole at 9-12.

The Jazz came out with high energy from the start of the game and really kept that pace the entire game. They were able to overcome hot shooting from the Lakers and really took advantage of the lackadaisical defense the Lakers performed all night. Tonight was a true team effort from the Jazz, as six players scored in double figures tonight.

It also helped that they shot 54 percent from the floor.

The Lakers are still struggling to find their way, especially defensively and tonight didn't help that fact at all. They looked like an eight grade team in transition defense and while Kobe Bryant did score 34 points, he played in 43 minutes. He is not going to last an 82-game season logging that type of time.

The Jazz closed out the night with a 117-110 victory tonight in Staples Center proving the Lakers need to get their act together if they want to play with the likes of the Utah Jazz.

Who would've thought that would be a feasible sentence at the start of the year?
