Steve Nash Video: Watch Lakers Star’s Hilarious Godfather Parody

Steve Nash is already taking Hollywood by storm.

Less than a month after the point guard was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers, Nash is shooting his own films.

On Friday he released a Godfather parody on YouTube that, according to the company who uploaded the video (NOC), was written, directed and of course starred the floppy-haired two-time MVP.

So how did he do?

First of all, props for his accent. He doesn’t completely butcher the famous vocals of Marlon Brando, and even pokes fun of him by stuffing his mouth full of green grapes while having a conversation with a fan looking to land an autograph.

I’m not sure how he didn’t crack up laughing in the middle of the conversation, but his ability stay composed was the highlight for me. At one point it seemed like Nash was going to spit grapes on the fan, but he stayed true to his character.

While I feel like the video could have been much longer than the two minutes and 25 seconds, Nash crafts the video so you finish wanting more.

I want to see other situations with Nash using the Brando voice—and maybe my wish will be granted.

This is just the first of a series titled “Nash, Camera, Action” that will be releasing new videos every week, according to the video description.

While it’s hard to imagine he keeps this up during the season, it’s a fantastic way to connect to his new fans in Los Angeles this summer.

It didn’t take very long for Hollywood to rub off on Nash.
