Phil Jackson: Coaching Kobe vs. Coaching Shaq

Like any dominating duo in sports, NBA legends Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal had their fair share of feuds and moments of glory while playing for the same team. 

The man who controlled it all while they both played for the Los Angeles Lakers was head coach Phil Jackson.

Jackson's one-two punch with Bryant running the team and O'Neal ruling the paint was a force to be reckoned with that few teams or players could match up or battle against. The tandem led the Lakers to numerous NBA Finals appearances, including three consecutive championships from 2000 to 2002.

So what was it like coaching two distinctly different players with such great talent while controlling their on and off-court issues? Jackson offers some insight on his approach to both players based on the relationships he had with each of them.
