Pau Gasol: ‘I’m Frustrated Right Now, Almost Every Game’

Pau Gasol is not a happy camper. 

The Los Angeles Lakers have sunk almost all the way to the bottom of the Western Conference, where they currently sit just ahead of the Utah Jazz. But with a five-game losing streak and 2-8 record over their last 10 games, the Purple and Gold might not have to wait long before there's a "15" in front of their name. 

And Gasol doesn't like it. He told Lakers Nation as much after falling to the Indiana Pacers and dropping to 16-30 on the season: 

I’m frustrated right now, almost every game, especially when we don’t win, when we get in these losing streaks. I’m more frustrated when we lose games that...we can win, that are winnable games.

Indiana, best record in the league, you might, it’s not that you expect to lose but you can lose this game. Orlando, I’m really upset that we lost that game. New York, another game that I think we could have won. I just believe we have to have a little more confidence and determination on games that we can and should win.

The Lakers big man has rebounded from his tough start to the season and is now averaging 16.9 points, 10.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game. However, the rest of his teammates haven't followed suit, and the combination of a talent deficit and injuries have taken their toll. 

Gasol has a right to be frustrated, especially since he's spent the season embroiled in trade rumors while wondering whether Kobe Bryant will A) return to the lineup and B) regain his old form.
