NBA Trade Rumors: Old and Slow Lakers Desperately Need Andre Iguodala

The Los Angeles Lakers have to add some athleticism—the kind that the 76ers Andre Iguodala brings to the table.

Luckily for them, Iguodala may be available. HoopsWorld's Alex Kennedy adds some insight on the future of Iguodala.

However, if the Sixers are eliminated by the Boston Celtics in Game 7, the general consensus around the league is that they’ll try to trade Iguodala this summer.

So this could set up perfectly for the Lakers, as they apparently will be ready to jump on that opportunity. Kennedy also shares this:

The Lakers, who are looking to shake their roster up this offseason, are expected to once again emerge as a potential suitor for Iguodala.

The devil is definitely in the details here. It is hard to gauge what the 76ers will want for Iguodala. Kennedy reports that the two had nearly pulled off this trade prior to last draft where the Lakers would have sent Lamar Odom and a draft pick.

But that at least gives us an idea of the kind of value they are looking for, and it really doesn't matter anyway. The Lakers only have two players with any trade value: Andrew Bynum and Pau Gasol. There just isn't any other player on this roster with any value (Kobe is not going anywhere).

I'm all for the Lakers sending out either of those guys; I'm disgusted with both of them. They let this team and franchise down in the playoffs. Ship them out without prejudice.

The reality of the situation is tha...
