Most Overpaid and Underpaid Players on the L.A Lakers

The majority of NBA players are not paid according to their talent and skill. In fact, the number of basketball athletes who are paid according to their true value are few and far between.

And the Lakers are a prime example of this blueprint as they feature an array of current and former NBA All-Stars on their roster.

The newest Collective Bargaining Agreement was implemented to do away with big-market spending, but the Lakers, thanks in part to their new 20-year, multi-billion dollar deal with Time Warner Cable, have turned what should have been a very limited summer into a spending fiasco.

Not too long ago were they considered a team of the past, but now, not only are the Lakers the NBA's new target, but they also have franchises scratching their heads, trying to figure out how they will ever catch-up.

Big spending has gone viral out west, and as a result, the Lakers, as talented as they now are, showcase a team full of overpaid athletes.

The superstar tandem they now feature has also resulted in a couple of underpaid, yet highly attractive NBA players who turned down bigger offers from other teams for a chance to raise the Larry O'Brien trophy in June.

Let's take a look at both Los Angeles' absurd and underwhelming contacts for this upcoming season.

And for the record, this list should not drag Lakers fans into a spirit of disarray thanks to the genius of Mitch Kupchak and Co. Check out the team's owed salary for the year 2014-2015 and you will get a better understanding of the overall vision.

As far as disarray goes in regards to every other NBA team and their fans—well that's a very different story.
