Howard's impending free agency is like a slow-building wave of news, pieces of information stacking on top of each other until a tidal wave of news comes barreling down on top of us once July 1 comes around.
Without a doubt, this is the best piece of news we've gotten so far. Now, when I say best it means craziest and most hilarious, not necessarily good news, like Howard saying he's already decided what he wants to do.
World Peace was on Sportsradio 610 in Houston on Monday, saying a ton more than just his adamant, "Well, he's not going to Houston, I tell you that."
The generally outspoken World Peace gave the Houston radio station the reason why he was so sure Howard would be returning to the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2012-13 season:
You know how those horses have those little things, ties in a bullfight, you tie those things to their b---- and they go crazy? I've got two of those tied to Dwight Howard's t--------, so he can't move.
He can't move. If he does, it'll be painful. So he can't go nowhere.
Well then, isn't that...lovely.
If it were anybody else, I would say it's a weird thing to say, but from World Peace I suppose that's just another normal day.
After calming down and sprinting back to reality for a few minutes, World Peace gave what seemed to be a genuine, well-thought-out response:
I'm not going to try to convince him. But definitely, I enjoy him, no question about it. I'll leave the convincing to the organization and to the fans. But for myself, I'm just working out and things like that, but I definitely enjoy him. He's a great person. Whoever receives Dwight Howard, they'll really enjoy their time with him.
