Metta World Peace: DWTS Will Help Artest on NBA Court

Whether you want to call him Ron Artest or Metta World Peace, it doesn’t matter. Soon, you’re going to be calling him an NBA All-Star because his involvement in Dancing with the Stars will improve his skills on the court.

By participating in the nationwide phenomenon, Metta is going to arrive for the upcoming NBA season (whenever that is) in great shape and feeling good about himself.

We’ve seen multiple athletes use DWTS as a way to loosen their bodies in their respective offseasons. More importantly, it is a fun and enjoyable way for an athlete to clear their mind when they are away from their sport.

Each season is a physically and mentally grueling grind, so a competition such as DWTS will prove to be invaluable in a Championship pursuit.



Last year, Artest was clearly bothered and distracted in the Western Conference Playoffs. He was not his usual dominant self, but Dancing with the Stars will provide him with the entertainment he needs to ease his body and mind after being swept by the Dallas Mavericks.

Metta is paired with Peta Murgatroyd and is already having a blast in the competition after one night. He has the full support of the crowd and is already gaining support from the judges. Len Goodman blasted Artest’s performance, but co-judge Bruno Toniolo called him “Ron the Dancetron.”



Don’t think for a second that nickname won’t stick with the fans and Artest’s teammates.

The Lakers’ locker room is going to be a blast to be in because everyone is going to be cracking light-hearted jokes about Artest’s performances. We can only expect to see a ton of “Ron the Dancetron” signs in the stands, which will consistently bring a smile to Ron-Ron’s face.
