Los Angeles Lakers vs. Phoenix Suns: Live Score and Analysis

Final Score: Phoenix Suns 121, Los Angeles Lakers 114

The Los Angeles Lakers (14-25) continue their dramatic fall in the Western Conference, losing their sixth game in a row Wednesday night in a crushing defeat at the hands of the Phoenix Suns (22-16).

Gerald Green led all scorers with 28 points and seven rebounds on 12-of-18 shooting, while Goran Dragic chipped in a near triple-double of 18 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

A 34-24 third quarter for Phoenix gave the team enough leeway near the end of the game to hold on for the win.

Rookie Alex Len (two points and three rebounds) of the Suns delivered a flagrant type 2 foul to Nick Young (nine points on 4-of-8 shooting) in the second quarter that ultimately led to several players getting into a physical altercation. Both Len and Young were ejected from the game for their involvement, while Marcus Morris was issued a technical foul for shoving Swaggy P.

Pau Gasol led Los Angeles in scoring with 24 points and nine rebounds, although his defense was problematic throughout the night as he struggled to keep his man in front of him. Since the Lakers were playing on the second night of a back-to-back, fresh legs were just not there. Losing Young and only having seven players to work with didn't help matters either.
