Los Angeles Lakers vs. Charlotte Bobcats: Live Score, Highlights and Analysis

The Los Angeles Lakers snapped a three-game losing streak with an 88-85 victory over the Charlotte Bobcats on Saturday night.

In a back-and-forth contest that saw the Bobcats enter the fourth quarter with a four-point lead, the Lakers outscored the Bobcats, 24-17, in the game's final frame and ultimately prevented Charlotte from tying the game at 88 on the game's final possession thanks to the defense of Kobe Bryant and Pau Gasol.

Bryant led the Lakers with 21 points (8-of-15 shooting) and eight assists, but turned the ball over a game-high seven times in the win.

And although he got off to a slow start, Gasol was big down the stretch, finishing with 15 points on 6-of-18 shooting after missing eight of his first 10 shots. He also pulled down seven rebounds and committed six turnovers.

Jordan Hill added 15 points and nine boards (four on the offensive glass) in a starting role, but the Lakers' bench combined to score just 26 points on the night.

Kemba Walker (24 points, 10-of-13 shooting) acted as the offensive catalyst for the Bobcats on a night when they shot 2-of-13 from three and attempted just eight free-throws.

However, Charlotte did hold a significant edge in two key statistical categories, outscoring the Lakers 16-2 on the fast break and 46-30 in the paint. They also shot a superior 43.8 percent from the field compared to the Lakers' mark of 39 percent.

Al Jefferson fell one rebound shy of a double-double as he dropped in 14 points and grabbed nine boards while Gerald Henderson added 13 points on 6-of-13 shooting in the loss.

Next up for the Lakers is a showdown with the Atlanta Hawks on Monday while the Bobcats are off until Tuesday when they'll host the Sacramento Kings.
