That's not a typo, folks. Metta World Peace has turned into Metta World Weatherman.
World Peace stopped by British Columbia's CTV affiliate to do the weather recently, and this is what it looked like:
The more one watches this, the funnier it gets. Each and every line by World Peace is comedic gold. Forget the fact that it seems like he doesn't know the difference between Fahrenheit and Celsius. That's already unbelievably hilarious.
But one can literally compose a Bleacher Report article called "Top 10 Quotes from Metta's Weatherman Bit," and there's no doubt that "Victoria! She sounds like she's hot, but she's actually cold. 14 degrees." would be the No. 1 quote in that compilation.
Another great part is when he calls Tofino, British Columbia, "Little Tofu."
Every line makes your jaw drop. Everything that comes out of this man's mouth is an instance of haphazard hilarity. It makes you say, "Did he really just say that?"
The humor in all of this increases when one thinks about the following question:
What the heck is Metta doing there in the first place?
He plays for a basketball team in Los Angeles and he's giving the weather forecast for a region that doesn't even have an NBA team.
Then again, trying to break down any action by Metta World Peace is useless. You just have to accept the fact that he's a man who marches to the beat of his own drum.
Whether he's playing Monopoly on the beach with a random family, playing dodgeball in a Zankou chicken shirt or doing the weather in Canada, it's all just Metta being Metta.
