Los Angeles Lakers: Andrew Bynum Is Showing Signs of a Strong Return

As of late, the 2-time reigning NBA Champs of the world, the Los Angeles Lakers have been borderline mediocre at best; losing a shocking three games in a row with an average margin of 16.6 (PTS) in those three games.

It has been no secret that scoring has been the problem and of course the effort has been questionable as well. The Lakers do have something to look forward to and that is big man, Andrew Bynum.

Laker' big, Andrew Bynum has been a pleasant surprise in his recent performances, averaging: roughly 7.3 (PTS), 1.3 (BLKS), 5 (REBS), and 1.3 (ASTS) in the last three games, though the Lakers lost.

The good news for the Lakers is, that numbers don't lie and it seems as though Bynum is going to make a somewhat full recovery anytime now.

Mike Trudell a.k.a. LakersReporter on Twitter, said this during today's game against the New Orleans Hornets: "If you're counting (and we are), Bynum is up to a season-high 28 minutes, and still moving fine. 14 pts, 6 rebs."

It's great news when professional reporters, report good news about a questionable Bynum and it hasn't been just Mike Trudell who has liked Bynum's performance, but it has been virtually every big name LA reporter in the world of Twitter, if that means anything to you guys.

There is a saying that one cannot teach size and Bynum is no doubt fulfilling that saying. For a center that has recently returned from an unexpected right knee injury, putting up solid numbers in a short span of time has to run by Coach Jackson and the Lakers in a great way.

With Bynum back and the Lakers shooting close to 70% against the Hornets, the recent worries of the Lakers should start to settle down a bit. Nothing has changed except for the Lakers' record; they are still the team to beat in the West and at the end of the day, this is still the 2-time reigning NBA Champs of the world and no one can argue with those type of results.
