Larry Nance Jr. Injury: Updates on Lakers Forward’s Wrist and Return

Los Angeles Lakers forward Larry Nance Jr. suffered a wrist injury during Thursday night's NBA Summer League game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. It's unclear when he'll return to the court.

Continue for updates.

Latest on Nance's Playing Status Friday, July 15 The Lakers announced that Nance suffered a sprained right wrist in Thursday's game, but no fracture or ligament damage was detected in the MRI. He's listed as day-to-day.

Injury-Plagued Nance Has Tons of Potential  This is yet another physical setback for Nance. The Lakers considered shutting him down for the season in late February after he suffered knee problems in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks.

Nance also missed six games before the All-Star break with knee soreness and tore his ACL during his collegiate career at the University of Wyoming.

The wrist injury on Thursday night was an unfortunate ending to an outing in which he recorded 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The 27th overall pick in the 2015 draft flashed moments of potential during his rookie campaign and is a solid stretch forward who can attack the basket off the bounce and provide solid defense.

For a player who was looking to build off a rookie season that showed potential, this will be a difficult blow for Nance to take if there is extensive damage to his wrist.
