Lamar Odom, Ryan Mallett, NBA Playoffs 2011 and Friday’s Late Sports Buzz

Lamar Odom, Ryan Mallett and the 2011 NBA Playoffs are the top sports-related terms floating around on the World Wide Web today.

Lamar Odom, the NBA's Sixth Man of the Year, and his Los Angeles Lakers will head to New Orleans to play Game 3 of their series against the Hornets. Odom came alive on Wednesday night after a subpar performance in Game 1. Will he be able to keep it up tonight?

Ryan Mallett is starting to generate a lot of interest as the NFL draft inches closer and closer. The Arkansas Razorbacks star is viewed as one of the more pro-ready prospects available in the draft because of his experience running a pro-style offense in college. His size and rocket arm make him a very intriguing candidate for any NFL roster.

The tools are all there but character issues remain a concern. Could we see him rise to the first round because he's viewed as NFL-ready? Or could we see him fall because of his off-field baggage?

We'll be going over those possibilities in today's updates.

And of course, the 2011 NBA Playoffs continues tonight with more matchups and more topics for conversation.

Let's get started!
