Lakers vs. Nuggets: Monday Night Is a Must Win for Los Angeles

Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers will hit the court Monday night needing a victory over the Denver Nuggets.

It will be no easy task, but a win over their conference foe will bring the Lakers to an overall record to 29-29, improve their winning streak to four games, and most importantly a win will close the gap for the eighth seed in the playoffs.

In his last two games, Bryant is averaging 39 points, 9.5 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.

With a win, the Lakers can prove that they are back in the playoff picture, after they seemingly became a punchline in the NBA.

Denver is currently fifth in the conference with a record of 35-22, seven games ahead of Los Angeles.  If the Lakers win, they make the bottom of the conference more competitive.
