The Los Angeles Lakers may still be without a head coach, but that isn't stopping the team from making some serious offseason moves.

After a franchise-worst 55 losses last season, this historically impressive team is looking to right the ship in a big way. That may come from its unusual high draft selection, or via a blockbuster trade.

Either way, this is a team poised to make some offseason noise.

The rumors surrounding the Lakers have grown exponentially since the 2014 NBA Finals officially came to an end. With the draft just days away, let's take a look at the most recent gossip surrounding this team.

 

Michael Carter-Williams



The Lakers could sure use some help in the guard department, and it comes as no surprise the team is coveting Carter-Williams.

A fantastic rookie season in which he averaged 16.7 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game quickly put Carter-Williams on the map.

Even though Pincus has heard this isn't happening, keep a keen eye on this situation. After all, he does note that smoke screens are rather apparent this time of year.

 

Klay Thompson



Keeping the guard trend going, the Lakers have also been rumored to have interest in Thompson.

Golden State's shooting guard was simply fantastic last season, posting an average of 18.4 points per game while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 41.7 percent from downtown.
