While Kobe Bryant is nursing a torn Achilles tendon and Steve Nash is coming to terms with the fact he's going on 40 years old, the front office in Los Angeles has been very busy.
The Lakers are in need of some scoring and have begun shoring up various positions on the roster by bringing on names like Chris Kaman and Nick Young.
There are plenty of wild things that could happen with the Lakers in the next month, not to mention within a year.
Here's a look at the latest buzz out of Los Angeles.
Nate Robinson on the Menu?
The Chicago Bulls' decision to roll with Derrick Rose and Kirk Hinrich moving forward makes sense, even with the outstanding production Nate provided last year.
That has opened a window of sorts for Los Angeles.
According to Alex Kennedy of Hoopsworld via Twitter, the Lakers are but one team that has shown an interest in bringing Robinson on board:
While Robinson would be a welcomed scoring addition after his 13 points per game last year, it's hard to imagine the Lakers have the space.
Think about it. Steve Nash and Steve Blake are still around and won't be going anywhere. The team just agreed to a deal with veteran point guard Jordan Farmar as well, which the team itself confirmed on Twitter:
Sure, Robinson could slide over to shooting guard, but Kobe will be back sooner than later knowing him. In the meantime, recently signed Nick Young could see time there, as could Wesley Johnson, who was also recently inked to a deal with the team.
