Mired in a rut of epic proportions, the Los Angeles Lakers will look to their young prospects, trying to salvage a season that already looks like it is halfway towards tanking.

Without Dwight Howard, Metta World Peace, Earl Clark and a bevvy of other players of varying roles from last year's rotation, a few of the young players scrapping for a spot on the roster in the NBA Summer League will play an integral role in the Lakers' season.

Keeping in mind that the NBA Summer League consists of numerous players struggling to even get a look from an NBA team, there may not be a diamond in the rough the same way there could be from the NBA draft.

By looking at some of the most intriguing prospects, perhaps the Lakers can maximize the limited amount of talent on their roster.
