But no matter how bleak the situation, D'Antoni's boys will never stop bombing away from behind the arc.

Five players, including Farmar, hit at least two from downtown. Wesley Johnson and Kent Bazemore shot 2-for-4 while MarShon Brooks and Jodie Meeks shot 3-for-3. Ryan Kelly shot 1-for-1. Slacker! The only Laker to attempt a three and not make at least one was Kendall Marshall (0-for-2). The 19 threes were a Laker record for a regulation game. L.A. hit 19 threes in an overtime loss to the Washington Wizards on Dec. 17, 2006. This was not the highest single-game total of the 2013-14 NBA season. The Portland Trail Blazers hit 21 threes on Dec. 14 against the Philadelphia 76ers. The Brooklyn Nets matched those 21 threes just two days later...against those same Philadelphia 76ers. The Philadelphia 76ers are absurdly terrible at guarding the three-point line. The Lakers did tie the all-important 2013-14 record for three-pointers made against teams outside of Philly (the Houston Rockets also made 19 against Brooklyn on Nov. 29. Before the game, D'Antoni responded to all the recent criticism of his coaching, per ESPN Los Angeles' Dave McMenamin: "I don’t think you’re ever as a coach you’re like, ‘Oh boy, we got all 15 guys really happy.'"
