Kobe Bryant Entertains Media During Press Conferences and after Them as Well

Whether you love Kobe Bryant or love to loathe Kobe Bryant, you can't deny the man knows how to entertain during his post-game press conferences.

A 16-year NBA vet, Bryant's been around. He knows how these things work and he's used to going through the motions of answering question after question after each televised postseason press conference. Sometimes snarly, other times smiley, Bryant is so entertaining because you never know what he's going to give you.

There are few players who banter with reporters in the way that Bryant does. After a recent game in Denver, Bryant was asked about Danilo Gallinari’s defense on him and he responded with a good-natured smart remark.

Normally, this would be the end of the exchange, but today on Around The Horn, ESPN LA’s J.A. Adande shared a behind-the-scenes story that took place after the exchange. It’s rare that we’re able to peel back the curtain on what professional athletes are like when the cameras are not always rolling.

Bryant is a player who is always tightly guarded and with lots of security. A story about his relationship with the media is even rarer. It’s nice to see that a player and the reporters who cover him each day can develop a working relationship that can also include some harmless fun.
