Bryant is now facing some heat and possible legal troubles after he grabbed a cellphone from a fellow parishioner at St. Therese of Carmel Valley Church, in San Diego.
The incident occurred when Bryant thought the man was taking pictures of him, grabbed the phone and, after finding no pictures on the phone, Bryant returned it back to its owner—Thomas Hagos, 20, of San Diego. Hagos claims that when Bryant grabbed the phone, he injured his wrist—which needed treatment from a hospital.
Mark Campbell, Bryant's attorney, released this statement yesterday, which read, "Mr. Bryant is aware of the baseless allegations asserted against him and is prepared to defend against them fully."
While Bryant has not been charged, there is a police investigation surrounding the situation. The police are gathering information from numerous witnesses, and Bryant will not be interviewed about the situation until Hagos has a conversation with authorities.
