The Los Angeles Lakers had a fantastic offseason in which they added serious talent throughout the roster.
Among the additions were Steve Nash, Dwight Howard, Antawn Jamison and Jodie Meeks.
These guys may make the Lakers better, but their inclusions also ensure the departure of several players that would have made the team otherwise.
The top candidates to cut are usually near the bottom of the roster. On this team they include Andrew Goudelock, Darius Morris, Darius Johnson-Odom, Robert Sacre and Chris Douglas-Roberts.
Of these five players, it seems like Goudelock and Morris would be the easiest to cut. They simply haven't had a long enough run with the Lakers to constitute keeping them over the other more established veterans.
Now it gets a little trickier with Johnson-Odom, Sacre and Douglas-Roberts.
Johnson-Odom and Sacre are in tough situations for minutes as they both have superstars and solid backups ahead of them on the depth chart.
If one had to stay from these two, I would guess Sacre would get the nod because he has played decently so far in preseason action.
Douglas-Roberts recently signed to compete for a bench role and his status as a decent utility player certainly helps his case.
CDR is a versatile player and could be a nice addition to the team if he can reclaim the same form he showed as a New Jersey Net and Milwaukee Buck.
With Johnson-Odom gone, that leaves Sacre and Douglas-Roberts as the two hardest guys to cut from this L.A. Lakers team.
These two guys may not be amazing, but they're solid bench filler and could be used in spot minutes throughout the season.
