Stanley Cup Finals: 3 Stars from the 2012 Stanley Cup Finals

Congratulations to the Los Angeles Kings on winning the 2011-12 Stanley Cup.  The series between the Kings and the New Jersey Devils had tons of great moments  but there were three players who really stood out and elevated their games. The Kings won the series 4-2 on the heels of a 6-1 Game 6 victory.

The Kings have a lot to be proud about and they had some amazing contributions from key players during the Stanley Cup Final.

Quick was phenomenal for the Los Angeles Kings throughout the entire playoffs  He posted a 16-4-0 record had a 1.41 goals against average, a .942 save percentage and he recorded three shutouts along the way.

Quick stepped his game up during the finals and backstopped the Kings to their first Stanley Cup in franchise history. His rise to dominance definitely cements his status as one of the NHL's top goaltenders.

Quick has already captured two pieces of hardware but will he capture a third piece—the Vezina Trophy—in a few weeks at the NHL Awards ceremony in Las Vegas?

Kopitar tied Dustin Brown for total points in the 2011-12 playoffs, but Kopitar had a solid Stanley Cup Final. Scoring between the two teams was kept to a minimum for the most part, but Kopitar's huge breakaway goal in Game 1 set the tone for the series.

If Los Angeles went down 1-0 in the series, the Devils could have really went on to change the outcome of this series. Kopitar shined on the largest stage possible, and there is no reason why he won't be a household name next season.

3. Drew Doughty, Six Points in Six Games
